Over the course of eight interactive online meetings, Loch will help you navigate your inner terrain and find your way to the innately peaceful, loving, creative flow of awakened awareness within you. He will guide you through short eyes-open glimpse practices in every session. They will give you a direct experience of shifting into awakened, open-hearted awareness. 
 The meetings are three hours long - including a short teaching, glimpse practices, small group breakouts and extensive time for Q&A.

Loch's Story

I was not a religious person or a joiner as a kid but I had a some early experiences both of peak experiences and a series of losses and deaths of loved ones that led me in college to want to explore "who am I?" and what is going on with consciousness and this crazy way humans live in the world.

When I was first introduced to effortless mindfulness in Nepal, the short shift of awareness I was invited to try took only a few minutes. Yet I became as calm and clear as after my ten-day deliberate mindfulness meditation retreats in Sri Lanka. But it was also a different type of calm. I felt alert, compassionate, embodied, and energetically connected to everyone and everything. 

My emotions were more accessible and spacious, and I related to them directly in a loving way. I began to laugh as tears of gratitude flowed down my face. The pervasive feeling of anxiety, self-centeredness, and fear, which had always felt like a normal part of who I was, dissolved. What was here instead was a profound sense of well-being, unity, joy, and gratitude. This full expression lasted through the day and had faded a bit when I awoke the next morning, but it remained in the background, and, more importantly, something fundamental had changed in me.

About Loch

Loch Kelly, M.Div., LCSW is author of the award-winning book, The Way of Effortless Mindfulness. He is a licensed psychotherapist and recognized leader in the field of meditation and awakening. He is the founder of the non-profit, Open-Hearted Awareness Institute and has worked in community mental health, established homeless shelters and counseled family members of 9/11. Loch graduated from Columbia University and received a fellowship to study with renowned teachers of awakening in Sri Lanka and India. Loch collaborates with neuroscientists at Yale, UPenn and NYU in the study of how awareness training can enhance compassion and wellbeing. Loch is known for his warm sense of humor, and his trust that awakening is the next natural stage of development. He teaches the advanced, yet simple embodied awakening method of effortless mindfulness. An invitation from Loch...

I would like to invite you to join me in this 4 month opportunity to support your awakening. It is a great opportunity at this time in our history to go deeper and access this resource that has been called “the ultimate medicine.” In this course we will use the simple map and glimpses from The Way of Effortless Mindfulness to navigate your own consciousness from the feeling of a small separate self to living as an open-hearted awake being. This community support course will bring you together with other people from around the world who are practicing this unique approach. We will meet for 3 hours, every other Tuesday for 4 months. Each session will start with glimpse practices, then go to individual Q & A and fine tuning to keep your unfolding awakening embodied.  In the middle of the 3 hours you will go into a break out rooms on Zoom to meet each other and share your experience with each other.  In the course of a 3 hour session I am able to answer as many questions as in a weekend retreat.  Awakening is learnable, teachable and livable with some helpful pointers focused on recognizing, realizing, stabilizing and expressing. I hope you choose this support to take the next step of waking up and growing up to relieve suffering at its root and live from your true nature.

What are the dates and times of this course?
A: Live sessions will be held on the following Tuesdays from 1pm- 4pm Eastern US Time. July 14,28, Aug 11,25, Sept 8,22, Oct 6,20 Please check your time zone.

How do I access my course?
