    Hey guys,

Tomorrow night is our final live session. Of course you can keep the peer groups running, and I hope you do. And you can keep using the personal practice videos, and I hope you do that too.

I’d like to know if you have anything you want to share about the course. What have you noticed, what have you experienced?

Hi Dave, this is wonderful work. I feel that somehow in the stream of awareness, it moves the boulders of resistance and lets the water pour through. We are pointed by you back into ourselves. One of my favorite invitations is to “fall back into yourself.” because I can feel it. ✨

@DaveRock Thank you so much for this offering. It’s been wonderful. During my flow speaking or writing exercises, when I find myself stuck, I often start saying, ‘I love my stuckness, and my stuckness loves me,’ and something opens up. Such simple exercies with such depth. Thank you so much.once again.

I also have a question for you. I find it very difficult to finish my writing pieces. When I start to write, there is often so much to say that I go on writing and hardly make time to edit it. I have so many such ideas and thoughts that have been left unformed. One of the things I realize is that I don’t edit because I’m scared of finishing it because that means i will have to share it, which is another big scary thing. I wonder if u have any suggestions here.

      Hey Neeti,

Love how you flow with your stuckness. I’d keep using that with your writing too.

This is a big question. But I’ll give you a few simple pointers. I have coached a few people to finish books and screenplays using these ideas.

      1) We have to find a way to release the pressure to ‘say everything’ in every piece of writing. Trying to ‘say everything’ is a life-long journey, which happens across an entire body of work. It’s impossible to do it in a lifetime really though. And it’s even more impossible to do it in a single piece. We have to allow each piece of writing to be itself. To feel what it wants to say, and to have the courage and clarity to leave everything else out, to go into other pieces. If you connect to the future readers, you do not want to overwhelm them, exhaust them, give them more than they can digest. You want each ‘meal’ of writing to be whole, balanced, complete. With just enough of the right ingredients.

      2) You have to make a conscious choice, to not keep starting more pieces, until you have started to finish things. Give yourself the commitment that you will not keep starting more, until you have finished one thing, then another, then another….

      3) Just pick an idea, pick a rough draft of something, pick a topic, pick a piece. And commit to keep working on it, rewriting, editing, developing.

      4) Do this until you have it as good as you can get it. Then let it rest, at least for a few weeks. Then look at it again, with more detached eyes. And rewrite and again if needs be.

      5) Find a simple way to share. Take care of yourself and be nice to yourself in the process.

      6) Go again….

If you email me I can send you some of my PDFs on writing if you want them….lifeispurecreativity@gmail.com

Thank you so much Dave. Very kind of you to share these pointers. This does provide me some more clarity on the writing process. I will reach out as i put these into practice.
