Have a person speak about my story from their point of view.
I don’t quite understand why the person we choose should speak to a third person.
I had misunderstood linguistically( I am german) and had, in that case, my deceased mother speak directly to me.
It was such a wonderful, loving experience. I actually like the exercise better that way.
What are your thoughts and experiences?

Hey Christine, Yes, sorry, that is a language confusion. I didn’t say to have them speak to a “third” person. I said to use the third person form of address, which just means speaking about you, instead of speaking as you. In English it goes:
- First person is speaking in the form “I am a silly man.”
- Second person is speaking in the form “You are a silly man.”
- And Third person is speaking in the form “Dave is a silly man.”
The way that you did it is a really beautiful form of the practice. I have often used that too, and it can be so good! I am going to put that form of it into the peer group plan for the week too.
